The Academic Cell of Pratik College of Education is a dedicated committee responsible for planning, monitoring, and enhancing the overall academic framework of the institution. The cell ensures that the teaching–learning process remains effective, systematic, and student-centered, aligned with educational standards and curriculum guidelines.
Roles and Responsibilities:
✔️ Preparing the academic calendar and timetable
✔️ Monitoring teaching activities, attendance, and syllabus completion
✔️ Organizing seminars, workshops, guest lectures, and academic programs
✔️ Ensuring quality learning resources and academic support for students
✔️ Conducting internal assessments, assignments, and academic evaluations
✔️ Coordinating with departments to improve teaching–learning quality

Key Activities of an Academic Cell:
1. Curriculum & Quality Assurance:
• Drafting and reviewing academic policies and norms.
• Developing and approving the annual academic calendar.
• Ensuring adherence to accreditation standards (like NAAC/NCTE).
• Reviewing and updating teacher education program curricula.
2. Faculty & Professional Development:
• Organizing workshops, seminars, and conferences (e.g., on EdTech, Inclusive Education).
• Supporting faculty for advanced degrees and certifications.
• Promoting new pedagogical approaches and technology integration.
• Evolving codes of ethics and performance standards for teachers.
3. Student Teacher Enhancement:
• Facilitating experiential learning (internships, field visits).
• Providing counseling and career guidance for student teachers.
• Organizing research activities and projects.
• Encouraging student involvement in community outreach programs (literacy, environment).
4. Research & Innovation:
• Conducting surveys and research on teacher education issues.
• Publishing research and assisting with council publications.
• Fostering collaborative partnerships with schools and NGOs.
5. Coordination & Administration:
• Maintaining uniformity in scheduling academic activities.
• Coordinating with affiliating bodies (UGC, Universities, State Govts).
• Acting as a dynamic system for quality enhancement and change.
