AISHE Committee

The AISHE (All India Survey on Higher Education) Committee of Pratik College of Education is responsible for collecting, maintaining, and reporting accurate data related to students, staff, courses, and infrastructure for submission to the Ministry of Education. This ensures compliance with national educational standards and helps in institutional planning and development. To portray the status of higher education in the country, Ministry of Education has endeavoured to conduct an annual web-based All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) since 2010-11. The survey covers all the Institutions in the country engaged in imparting of higher education. Data is being collected on several parameters such as teachers, student enrolment, programmes, examination results, education finance, infrastructure. Roles and Responsibilities: • 📊 Collect and maintain accurate data on students, faculty, and infrastructure • 📝 Ensure timely and accurate submission of AISHE reports • 🏫 Coordinate with various departments for data collection • 📈 Assist in institutional planning and quality enhancement based on data insights • 🌟 Ensure transparency and accuracy in reporting to the Ministry of Education Message for Staff & Students: 📌 “Accurate data leads to better planning, accountability, and growth — your cooperation is key to success.”

Data Management and Submission • Data Collection: Gathering comprehensive data on various parameters, including student enrollment (gender, social category, programs of study), faculty details (number, gender ratio), available infrastructure (classrooms, libraries, laboratories, ICT facilities), financial expenditure, and examination results. • Data Verification: Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all collected data before submission. • Online Submission: Compiling the data into the mandatory web-based Data Capture Formats (DCF) on the official AISHE portal by the specified deadlines. • Updating Institutional Details: Maintaining current information regarding the institution's head, nodal officer details, and other basic operational data on the portal. Institutional Planning and Quality Assurance • Policy Implementation Support: Assisting the institution in aligning its development plans with national-level planning and the goals of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. • Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) Coordination: Collaborating with the IQAC to use the data for internal performance evaluation, assessment, and quality improvement initiatives. • Benchmarking: Using the calculated indicators (like Pupil-Teacher Ratio, Gender Parity Index) to identify gaps, assess growth trends, and benchmark the institution's performance. • Resource Planning: Providing concrete data to help the institution's management make informed decisions about resource allocation and infrastructure enhancements. In essence, the AISHE Committee ensures the institution's data contributes to a reliable national database used for formulating evidence-based policies to enhance the entire higher education system.
