Anti-Ragging Committee

The Anti-Ragging Committee of Pratik College of Education is constituted in accordance with the UGC Regulations. The College is committed to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and disciplined academic environment where every student is treated with dignity and respect. As a teacher education institution affiliated with Jai Prakash University and Bihar School Examination Board, Pratik College of Education emphasizes ethical values, mutual respect, and professional conduct among all students.

Activities of the Anti-Ragging Committee The primary goal is to foster a culture of respect and empathy, completely eliminating the menace of ragging in line with UGC/NCTE guidelines. Awareness and Orientation: Conducting extensive awareness campaigns, workshops, and orientation programs for new and senior students about the harmful effects of ragging and its legal consequences. Policy Implementation: Developing and enforcing comprehensive anti-ragging policies as per regulatory body guidelines, ensuring every student and parent signs an anti-ragging undertaking/affidavit. Vigilance and Monitoring: Constituting and deploying an Anti-Ragging Squad to maintain a constant, surprise vigil in potential hotspots like hostels, canteens, libraries, and transport areas. Complaint Redressal: Providing accessible contact information for committee members and an easy, confidential process (online portals, suggestion boxes) for students to report incidents, ensuring prompt and impartial investigation. Support and Counselling: Offering support, counseling, and assistance to victims of ragging to ensure their physical and mental well-being. Disciplinary Action: Recommending and initiating strict disciplinary actions, including suspension, expulsion, or even legal action and filing a First Information Report (FIR) with the police, against those found guilty.
